Reviews of Barton House

Great place for residents, safe and very clean. But at night it’s a ghost town. I use to work for them years ago, before Barton house was built it use to be a seminary on the property before it got demolished. Many members from the seminary where buried on that property.read more

The Administrator is supposed to be in charge at Barton House, but she is merely a sheep who follows the command of the Director of Nursing... WHO, fails to provide adequate care and medication administration to the patients. There are plenty of other memory care facilities that have much more integrity than Barton House. You should look into those instead.read more

Family will always only see the good. They never see what happens behind closed doors. Of course they will have nothing but good things to say because all they see is a front. Keep this in mind when reading reviews.

I am the real “Brit Cyrus” and I never left a review for Barton House. Someone is making fake accounts with (past) employees names and posting them.

I absolutely disagree with Mr Coffmans remarks. Barton House is a wonderful place to care for any loved one. The care is above standards and no issues with leadership. I highly recommend! I cant say how wonderful it was to visit. All the negative reviews are from old employees I'm sure that no longer work there. Its a shame how childish grown adults are. All the nurses are wonderful and the aides friendly. I'm unsure who this Mr. Coffman is but surely not related to us. Also, ponder this why would he even comment such foolishness on Martha Mahel and how would he even know such info. Once again not related to my family.read more

The Director of Nursing Martha McMahel Is being investigated by Amy Clark (unbeknownst to her)-- If this isn't an issue to you, you shouldn't be caring for your loved one. Read other 1-star reviews. They're there for a reason.read more

My hat goes off to the director of nursing at the Barton house. She was very engaged with the resident at their 4th of July party last night. She danced with the residents, render care, all with a smile on her face. Mary in activities helped with making sure my loved one had drinks and food. As I set back to watch how impressed I was with all they do. I have plenty of pictures I will soon post for everyone to see. My thumbs go up on Barton House♡read more

Great Memory Care Community. I do recommend for the loving care they show. Activities are great as I watch Mary get residents involved. Nursing staff walks residents out in their secured yard and never see them too busy not to interact with families. Thumbs up . highly recommend.read more

I visited Barton House and spoke with the staff. All staff was helpful in answering all my questions on placing my mother. The care givers were giving much attention to the dementia residents and I was so impressed. I highly recommend on the short time I was there. I'm giving them a 5star.read more

😂 Did Amy Clark give a bonus to all of her staff who leave a 5 star review?! See the Director of Nursing's Martha McMahel, and others below (some you can see have since been deleted but the stars remain). Where are the real ones from family telling the truth about this place? There is no aunt who was "there for years"- anyone can leave a review, just as I have, and this "Brit Cyrus" person specifically made a profile just to leave that review- You can look this information up by clicking their name. (This Brit Cyrus review has since been deleted after me pointing out it was fake, but it went on to mention MY review wasn't credible due to the following things below).Probably Amy Clark herself using a fake name on some of the positive ones too. Ask yourself before sending family here: why might a former employee be "disgruntled"? Was it because management was turning a blind eye to the complete negligence and neglect by other staff when it was brought to their attention- on MORE than one occasion?! Also, any other negative review- truly has nothing to do with me. Barton House is just that bad. Don't send your loved ones here unless you want them to be ripped off, and poorly cared for. Beware.read more

Love the personal care. Barton House prides itself on utilizing activities and redirection techniques to minimize negative behaviors. By utilizing these techniques we are able to minimize psychotropic medications.

My Aunt has lived at Barton house for years and the care she receives is incredible. Martha, director, is knowledgeable and caring and she goes beyond any nurse I know. I want to respond to a previous review by AB. the information she placed and the stars she gave is so inaccurate. This is a disgruntled employee and her boyfriend Posted below her. I think it is sad that they are so immature. the care they give goes way above any facility I know. Shame on you to be such a child.read more
