Where do I begin with Joy and Patti? I will first say I could not do all this without their help. They helped me get my mom placed in assisted living asap and helped me find a mover the same week. They even go above and beyond and drove my mom from rehab to the assisted living house. But prior to all of this I hired Joy to go in and check on my mom in her home during the lockdown in 2020 because I live out of state. She assessed my mom and we agreed she wouldn't be going anywhere just yet. When I called Joy crying from California that my mom had fell and was in the hospital she gingerly told me this is moms time to stop living alone and she would help me one step at a time. I am still in the early stages with my mama but Joy and Patti continue to be so supportive to me and anytime I have a question they pick up the phone to comfort and reassure me. Nurse Joy has made one of the most difficult and hectic parts of my life easier in a number of ways. She has a knowledge not only of the process, but of the types of behaviors patients will exhibit. She is kind and empathic -- I always felt heard and comforted by her advice. I initially was wary of the help, but I was proven to be so wrong -- I would have had a much harder time without her help. We were quickly approved for transition from the existing small one room home to a new one bedroom/kitchen-living room apartment, and reduced monthly cost by 40%. In addition, the new location is two miles faway compared to about ten previously. Since the move, Patti has been most helpful with follow-up routine needs and assistance. We began working with Patti so we'd have some ideas of the best place for our mother when/if the time came for her to move. Thank goodness we had begun the process because we ended up needing to move in an emergency situation.We came to understand that Patti Naiser views her work as a mission and not necessarily a job---and she offers so many resources beyond finding a place. She also is not hesitant to say when a person doesn't need to move at the present time. My Mom has lived with my family for the past seven years in an apartment in our basement. We had the house built specifically so we could keep her in the home with us as long as possible. We are moving Mom into a community this weekend and Patti is still working her miracles. She has even offered to come visit my Mom while I am on a much needed vacation this summer. All of this and we have not paid her a dime. If you ask me you can’t put a price on what she offers, it comes from the heart.
