Reviews of Park Louisville

As a former employee. I had a difficult experience with this establishment. My main concern was my first day there they restrained a patient to inject meds. Because they said he was too much to handle. The marketing director, maintenance man, DON, administrator all held this patient down. I was unsure why the social worker and maintenance man were in there but the maintenance worker came out laughing and flexing. Marketing director was laughing. Maintenance man fixed nothing he spent time flirting with the marketing director. I went into a patients room to find a patient and them 2 worker kissing. She also had something going on with the nurse manager on the floor. He was married. The whole place was unprofessional. Horribly staffed. I got so many text about if I knew where patients meds were. They left meds in patients rooms all the time. The director seemed nice but she only focused on here management team and not her employees on the floor. The marketing director (K) had many offensive things to say about colored employee. She would come to the floors and tell caregivers what to do. Keep in mind each caregiver had at least 20 patients by themselves. The nursing director and maintenance director had an issue with a certain employee preference about and they badly about him. I informed him and he quit. Place is horrible with a high turn over rate.read more

There needs to be more consistent communication about loved ones, staff, changes, and management.

I have seen some improvements in the last couple of weeks with more consistent staffing but I continue to feel like there is very limited communication between nursing shifts and staff and getting information to family members. It often seems the right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing and no one wants to take on the responsibility of making sure the patient’s needs are met. Having a family member in a memory care unit is so difficult on the immediate family members. They can’t depend on what the patient tells them even when the patient can verbally express some things. Communication has got to improve for meeting the patients needs and the family needs. We put our love ones in the care of the staff and we need to be able to depend on them for supportive care and enhanced communication.read more

Very short-staffed. The few workers that stay try their hardest but can only do so much. Rooms are disgusting and dirty full of bugs, floors are never mopped. Remotes, toothbrushes, slippers etc...go missing constantly. No soap ever in bathroom AND WE'RE IN THE MIDDLE OF A PANDEMIC🤢Hygiene such as fingernail clipping and shavings never occur. This place was great years ago but has went downhill very fast.read more

What a refreshing change from a year ago! I had the opportunity to meet the new Executive Director who keeps us informed on a weekly zoom call and weekly emails.. She provides transparency of important news and updates and offers plenty of answers during this uncertain time for us family members. Last year I couldn't even get the Director to return a phone call. This new wave of communication is very welcome and appreciated as it was much needed!read more

My Father was there for 1 1/2 months, he had injuries from falling and who knows how long he was laying in his room on the floor till someone saw him and called 911. His face looked like he was punched... our family dont know the truth because they didnt inform anyone of his falling. He is now in Heaven where better off than the Nursing homes he was in.read more

I’ve worked many places but I’ve never worked somewhere you could feel the love as soon as you walk in the door until I started here at PKL. I’ve felt welcomed and at home from day one! The nurses and staff genuinely care and love the residents and encourage one another. Shawn the administrator works extremely hard and isn’t afraid to roll up his sleeves and dig in. I’ve seen him work long hours without complaining. He has a big heart as well as his team. I absolutely love every moment I get to spend with the residents and staff here♥️♥️ Park Louisville has changed my mind about Long term care facilities and I wouldn’t hesitate to place my loved one with this team!read more

Always short staffed and the cook shalonda has a very bad attitude. Dean is a excellent cook. Grace is very attentive and wonderful to talk to. Teresa is a good worker. Found Ann the nurse sleeping on the job. Need better management at this facility. Also Shawn is not a honest person. He smiles and tell you one thing and then rude when you meet with him with a complaint. I saw a patient fall to the floor and the caregiver just sat there and said he does that. Dangerous place to leave a loved one.read more

You will not find a more welcoming facility than Park Louisville. The facility is set-up to engage residents in meaningful activities at every corner with a wonderful activities director and a very caring staff that realize the importance of activities and socialization. This facility has some of the best caregivers I have ever come into contact with and I have been in healthcare for 7 years. Park Louisville feels like home primarily due to the nurses, caregivers, management, and the current residents and their families. I would highly recommend looking to Park Louisville for your loved one's needs!read more

My father was reluctant to go to senior living and we had a hard start but then we found Park Louisville. In my initial visit everyone was so nice. Every employee introduced themselves to me as I walked through. They were quick to help me and get my father in right away. It has been a blessing! He is active and interacting with residents and caregivers everyday. They have made everything easy! I attend family events which are so well planned! We could not have found a better place for memory care for my father!read more

I'm a new nurse here at Park Louisville and I must say that I am really impressed with what I have seen so far. I find management to be fair and accommodating, staffing is much better than I've seen in the past, and there is an incredible team in place for all departments necessary to maintain a facility like this smoothly. The care staff goes above and beyond to meet resident needs, and I find Park Louisville to be exceptional and above average.read more

As a vendor of therapeutic services, I feel Park does a fantastic job of evaluating resident needs and getting the extra help they need. I’ve only had good experiences with staff, as they are receptive and intuitive with each individual. I would feel safe and secure with any member of my own family residing here.read more

I was VERY impressed by the Park Louisville team right from my initial scouting visit, and they IMMEDIATELY identified for me what I should be looking for in a memory care community for my dad. I looked at 12 senior communities in all, and Park was FAR AND AWAY the front-runner.Since my dad moved in (he's been there just over a month now), he has told me DAILY how nice everyone is, how HELPFUL the Park team is, and how GREAT the food is.The nursing staff has found the keys to maximizing the effects of his medications, and he has THRIVED during his short time there. It was the right decision to move him there.read more

My name is Lee Stinson. My aunt, Mary Jo Thieneman is a resident of Park Louisville. She has been there since the middle of May. I am very pleased with this place but more importantly,my aunt is pleased with Park. My wife and I looked at several places before deciding on Park. Park stood out for mainly one reason to us: It felt like home, not just another facility. The staff is extremely caring and knowledgeable. They are always accessable and ready to attend to any of my aunt,s needs.Just the other day, my aunt told me one of the nurses hugged her and kissed her on the cheek. It doesn't sound like much but to her it was a whole lot.Tasha Corbett did a great job of showing us The park. She really made us feel really comfortable.I've also seen her interact with other residents and families and the kindness she shows goes far beyond her job description. You know she not only does her job but enjoys it. To me that is a plus for all the residents. Shawn Sanders is the new director and he has been great too. He is right up to date with everything going on with my aunt.Recently I had some leagal papers to get signed in a short period of time and he made it happen. He too is always there ready forwhatever we may need.I would highly recommend Park Louisville for anyone who has a loved one looking for exceptional care.read more

As an Elder Care Coordinator, I’m vigilant about keeping up with the best memory care/personal care facilities in Louisville. Park Louisville is a wonderful community. Their care model focuses on routine and structure for their residents, essential with Dementia and Alzheimer’s patients. Their facility is clean and they have beautiful community areas for the residents to enjoy. The nursing staff and nurse aids are focused on their clients at all times and the facility has two wonderful doctors that over see each patients care.Thank you Tasha Corbett, for always having my clients and their families best interests in mind. You’ve given each of my families the comfort and confidence in their decision they need. Your knowledge and compassion are noted and I appreciate everything you do.read more

Poor service by Tasha marketing. Truly doesn't know how to sell. Very disappointing in park Louisville for keeping an individual that dont know what she is doing. Try to sell me on care- poor and the Administrator that is clueless himself. Where did the class go? everyone is leaving since previous management left. You need to get back the people that really cared and aren't fake. This is truly sad. Do not recommend. It wouldn't surprise me if the doctors jump ship.read more

Uncle was there. The marketer really had us sold. sold us the moon. Told us that this place was everything that he needed. She told us that he would be helped getting dressed, helped with getting to and from places, and not be left alone. This was not true. Yes, they all have smiles on their face but when you come in after hours and find your uncle soaking wet in bed you know everything that the marketer said was a lie! He needed help with most things and it seems that after 5 pm no one was there to help. They needed more help. Very sad.read more
